The Back Beauty campaign was launched to encourage members of the public to help support the beauty industry by buying gift vouchers, booking future appointments, and purchasing their normal skincare products them their local salons.
The campaign launched on 16th November 2020 to help support the beauty industry after the UK entered a second Covid-19 lockdown. The beauty industry, worth £28 billion to the UK economy, was experiencing a second hit to their income in what is traditionally the industry’s busiest period with the British Beauty Council estimating that a third of a business’s annual turnover is taken in the last three months of the year.
Caroline stated: “We want the Beauty industry to survive this second hit to their income. They need our help to stay afloat while they once again cannot work and to be able to reopen when this second lockdown is over. Let’s protect the Beauty Industry we all know and love. Let’s continue to Back Beauty.”
Back Beauty showed consumers the very real and practical ways in which they could keep the industry going so they could reopen their doors post-lockdown.
